Perhaps inspired by the legendary Steve Reeves and just for interest (and fun), the point of the Ideal Body Measurement exercise was to create a way to workout some basic guiding principles (a range of measurements) for balancing size and form for a person’s (men in this case as I haven’t done a female one yet!) height based on some of the famous and generally presumed aesthetic physiques in modern culture.
The size samples were from a range of famous male physiques from recent times across ethnicities, including Arnold Schwarzenegger (1967 and ’75), David Gandy, Zac Efron, Jason Momoa, John Boyega, Hrithik Roshan, Calum Von Moger, Lionel Messi, Serge Constance, Chadwick Boseman, Tom Hardy, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and more…
Now this is not perfect data and not to be taken too literally, but the cross section and variance used at least gives a general view of what the ball park median measurements could be for your height.
To find out some stats that could work for you, enter your height in cm in the green box below. Note, the 2nd table will automatically calculate the imperial measurements.
